What is a pig?
Of late, the Malaysian Parliament comes alive with PIGs. As a matter of fact, Pig has always been a contentious issue in Malaysia. More often than not, PIG is used as a derogatory word or as a disparaging remarks.
According to the Federal Constitution, Islam is the official religion of Malaysia and hence with the majority population being Muslims, PIG can be sensitive issue.
When the ruling BN lost 5 states in the 12th General Elections, the issue of PIG farm came into play so much so that a Chief Minister *Oink-Oink* in his blog that it was a gift from the Pakatan Rakyat to the people of Selangor.
Not to be outdone, MP for Rembau likened the acronym PKR to Projek Khinzir Rakyat. Never mind that, but if you must laugh, here's one. Let's try to find something for the acronym KJ. What can one immediately figure out what the K could be? Especially so if you don't speak nor understand a word of Malay?
I asked my 12-year-old son to try to figure out what KJ might stand for IF PKR stands for Projek Khinzir Rakyat. His response:
"..... K is definitely for Khinzir. Now, let me try J ..... mmmmm .... hah! J for Jahat. Jamban also can."
Not one to lose on kosa kata (vocabulary), he took out his Venier e-dictionary to come out with more words. "Jahil, Jahiliah, Jahanam, Jalang, Jantan......"
Yes. Yes. Yes. We've got it!!! My personal preference for the acronym KJ would definitely be Khinzir Jantan.
